The Delaware workers' compensation system provides compensation, called death benefits, which is provided to dependants, as defined by Delaware law.
Death benefits are a weekly benefit. The amount of death benefits paid out increases as the number of dependants increase, but there is a cap on the total amount of death benefits that may be paid. Benefits for dependent children typically cease at the age of 18, but may continue if the child is mentally or physically disabled.
